- Projection of 2k digital sources, 1080p, 1080i, and 720p HD sources, analog video sources, and computer projection resolutions from 1024x768 up to 2048x1080 resolution.
- Dolby Analog and Digital surround-sound for 35mm film. (mono up to 5.1)
- Dolby surround for installed and portable sources (stereo, 5.1, 7.1)
- Newly calibrated “B-Chain” processing, amplification and loudspeakers
- Wireless hearing assistance system.
- HD, DV, Mini-DV, DVCAM playback deck (Sony HVR-M25U).
- HD-DVD and DVD/SVHS installed players.
- Inputs to support all analog and digital audio formats, with 8-channel audio system inputs in analog and AES formats.
- Inputs for portable analog and digital video formats including: HDCAM SR, D5, DigitBeta, Blu-Ray and other HDMI-based consumer formats, component video, s-video, and composite video sources.
- Compatible with Dual-link HD-SDI inputs, including the Quvis player.
- Computer input for presentation use at the front of the room.
- Touchpanel control system for all digital projection functions and installed sources.
- A technical assistant is required for 35mm projection. Presentations or use of the Digital Cinema Projector do not require a technical assistant to be present, but one can be provided upon request.
Additionally, The Alan Splet Theater has a large mix/editing position platform available and connectivity to the audio and digital projection systems to make use of portable audio mix and color correction equipment. Empty pathways for project specific cable also connect the mix position and the projection booth.
The Alan Splet Theater has a newly installed PA system for live performances with dedicated loudspeakers as well as the use of the existing audio system. A wireless microphone for presentation use is also available.
